Who is the workshop for:
This workshop is designed for street photographers with some experience. Participants must be familiar with their camera and have a basic understanding of street photography. Julia will assist you in refining your street photography approach and focus on developing your vision.

Evening presentation
7:30pm - 9:00pm
The workshop will commence with an instructional session and a discussion on styles and approaches to street photography, exploring why each participant is drawn to particular kinds of photographs and methods of working.
Julia will utilize her own images and those of other photographers to provide context and inspiration, encouraging participants to contemplate their goals for the workshop and beyond. Different approaches and techniques will be explored.
8:30am - 6:00pm
(break for lunch)
On Saturday morning we will proceed to the streets for several hours to capture photographs. Julia will shoot alongside participants, offering tips and suggestions, providing insight into her own street photography approach.
We will take a break over lunch time (during the heat of the day) before continuing shooting into the early evening.
Participants will be invited to work on assignments or practice techniques and approaches aligned with their identified goals from the evening instructional session. These assignments are tailored to increase confidence and enhance the quality of photographs, suitable for varying levels of experience.
8:30am - 3:00pm
(break for lunch)
For Sunday’s session, participants will need a laptop with Lightroom (or preferred photo management and editing software) already installed.
On Sunday morning we will meet for several more hours of shooting on the streets, refining the approaches and techniques learned from the previous day's session.
Following the morning session, we will meet for another instructional session to discuss the editing and selection process. Participants will review their editing and selection process from the shooting sessions, selecting and sequencing their best 10-12 images for group review.
